The Drexel Multimedia DemoIn 1991, during the early ages of Mac-based multimedia, Margaret Christensen, PhD, in conjunction with Michael Giamo of Drexel's Office of Computing Services, and with Michael Moulton and Paul Helfrich, PhD, of the Franklin Institute Science Museum, created a multimedia kiosk for the Future's Center of the Franklin Institute Science Museum. Visitors saw new multimedia concepts demonstrated in a realistic context. The kiosk also included a sample multimedia piece about Drexel University in its Centennial year. Here are a couple of the original digital videos.
Data from users was collected and analyzed, yielding insight into the design and evaluation of hypermedia systems. Below are some of the resulting publications:
