The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society
&
The Philadelphia Flower Show

In 1995, in conjuction with graduate students from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, we initiated a Web site for the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. It quickly grew to separate sites for the Philadelphia Flower Show, the largest convention in Philadelphia, and one for the rest of the Society. In 1998 there were more hits to the Flower Show Web Site than there were actual visitors to the Show. 1999 doubled that number.

For the past year we have been involved with training Society personnel to gradually bring Web production in-house at PHS, although we still remain on-call for more difficult problems including data base issues, secure transactions and e-commerce.

The Green Scene Index

This is the only available searchable data base of The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's publication Green Scene.

Gold Medal Plants Index

A classic database driven dynamic Web site containing a listing of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's Gold Medal Plant winners, descriptions of the plants, suppliers of the plants, plus lists of Gold Medal Plants available at given suppliers.

The Camden City Garden Club

A nice use of forms to facilitate donations to a non-profit organization.

Rick's Utility Sheds and Gazebos

They've been receiving orders far beyond the Philadelphia area thanks to their Web site.

Foamex

Initiated a Web Site for this large manufacturing company in 1995.
